What Others Are Saying
As an interior decorator, I use a great deal of custom soft goods in my custom projects. From bedding to windows, I have used Lisa time and time again with excellent results. It gives me comfort to know I can be absolutely confident when I work with Lisa no matter what the task. Her work is flawless, well priced and as a bonus, her turnaround time is fantastic. She is a diamond!
I just wanted to tell you how pleased I am with my drapes and cushion. I really appreciate the intelligence, artistry, and skill you used to make everything work. The drapes are so nice that I think I need new furniture now! Thank you for a lovely job.
Dear Lisa, You are so talented! To take fabric and turn it into such works of art is nothing short of genius… I’m so impressed. All the window treatments are perfect, exactly what I wanted and I thank you so much for getting them finished and installed in such a timely fashion. My sons stayed at the house and called to say the window treatments were really neat and that they loved them. I thought that was nice to make a special call to express that… you have built a brilliant career as a designer/seamstress/artist/magician… again thank you very much.
Lisa, the owner of Something Sew Unique, put a huge smile on my face when my custom cornices and panels arrived. The work was amazing and it all looks so much better than I even thought it would thanks to her help with picking out the perfect fabrics to match my home. Thanks, Lisa.
I have obtained the services of Something Sew Unique recently, and couldn’t be more pleased with the service and quality that I have received. I am interior decorator based in CA, and had to find a workroom to service my Austin client. I interviewed several workrooms and was the most impressed with Lisa at Something Sew Unique. I thought it was going to be very difficult to do business across the United States, but she made it easy. She does beautiful work and has kept great communication with me along the way. I look forward to her weekly emailed pictures of my designs coming to fruition. If anything is unclear, she is the first one to contact me to ask questions and clarification. I would highly recommend this company.
We were told about Lisa and Something Sew Unique on our neighborhood blog. Several people recommended her. We made an appointment with her to come do measurements in three rooms. She made sure that we were fully aware of what our odd sized windows would look like with coverings and the different options and worked within our budget. She came to install them several weeks later. We are so happy with them. They are exactly what we asked for. Great person/company to work with. We definitely recommend her and will use her again.
We searched in stores and on the internet for the perfect dress for my daughter to wear in her Aunt’s wedding and we finally found it in the form of a pattern. So with the pattern, some material, and measurements over the phone, Lisa performed the miracle we were looking for over 2000 miles away. The dress fits her perfect, and the quality of Lisa’s work is outstanding! Thank you Lisa for making my 9 year old daughters dream of being a real princess come true!
I knew from Lisa’s reviews and her awesome website that she could handle any level of complex project that might come her way. In person she is warm and gracious, helpful and genuinely interested in her customer’s vision. What I appreciate most about my recent experience is her care and concern for my little project (a pillow less that $100) – and that speaks to her professional integrity and love of her craft. Exceptional service, outstanding quality, and beautiful textiles for your home – a perfect combination!
I LOVED the drapes. They are perfect, and beautifully made! Thank you so much! I am so happy!!!
Lisa has a fantastic eye in design, color matching and mixing textures. She listens to your idea/concept, then returns with sketches and a cost estimate. She absolutely wants to please the client and will work with the client to achieve a great product.
I have used Lisa to help me during the last 5+ years and I was never disappointed.
Lisa herself is “someone so unique”, her creativity, ingenuity and attention to detail far exceeded my wildest expectations. The window treatments for my new home almost made me wish I’d started with them and decorated around them – each one different, clever and drop-dead gorgeous. Lisa will make quite a name for herself in this business, I am fortunate to have found her.
Some time ago, on behalf of my mother, I contacted Lisa for seven replacement pillow shams of various sizes. Her response was fast and courteous. Lisa’s estimate was professional, detailed and reasonably priced. We asked her to do the job and, well within her estimated time of completion, we received seven impeccably tailored pillow shams that fit like gloves on their respective pillow forms.
The key to why this job of seven simple pillow shams is so outstanding is that Lisa completed this job from almost 200 miles away, with nothing to go by but my amateur drawings and measurements accompanied by emails. The fabrics we had chosen are not easy ones to work with, nor are they forgiving, but Lisa’s seams, linings and hidden zippers were flawless. Over a year later, the shams are holding up beautifully.
If a cut above is what you’re looking for, this is your girl. THANK YOU, LISA!
