What Others Are Saying
Dear Lisa, When I asked you to make custom chair cushions and window treatments for me I paid you up front because I was that confident about the quality of your work and I was not wrong. I have received many compliments on the chair cushions and the beautiful window shade you designed and look forward to many other opportunities to use your services. You are a gifted person and more responsible than many businesses these days, it is a pleasure to work with you.
I wanted to let you know I received the pillow sham I ordered. I also wanted to say that it’s perfect. Thank you very much. It is great and I know she will love it so much. I will definitely consider you for any future sewing projects. Thanks again, it’s absolutely wonderful! It really is!
As an interior decorator, I use a great deal of custom soft goods in my custom projects. From bedding to windows, I have used Lisa time and time again with excellent results. It gives me comfort to know I can be absolutely confident when I work with Lisa no matter what the task. Her work is flawless, well priced and as a bonus, her turnaround time is fantastic. She is a diamond!
Lisa – I was thrilled with your work- the bedskirt you made for my daughter’s crib was beautifully sewn and exactly met the specifications you and I discussed. The matching pillow was also perfectly done. I look forward to working with you again, and I will be sure to recommend your work to my friends!
Lisa herself is “someone so unique”, her creativity, ingenuity and attention to detail far exceeded my wildest expectations. The window treatments for my new home almost made me wish I’d started with them and decorated around them – each one different, clever and drop-dead gorgeous. Lisa will make quite a name for herself in this business, I am fortunate to have found her.
Lisa! The pirate costume has arrived, and I am absolutely delighted! It is everything and more that I could have ever asked for! I wish I’d known you when both my children were small. I have struggled through Indian princess, angel, Alice-in-Wonderland, and many many more costumes. This particular costume is going to be repacked and sent to my son’s family (my son made his own costumes…usually out of cardboard boxes) in Kazakhstan where he is a lawyer for an oil company. This costume is for a beautiful little three year old girl who, for whatever reason, longs to dress up like a pirate “with an eye patch”. Thank you ever so much.
We needed some custom drapes for a huge floor to ceiling window. We made an appointment to meet with Lisa, at which time we picked out our fabric and explained exactly what we wanted. She was so helpful and very professional. She explained everything told us when we could expect them to be done and installed. It ended up that they were done earlier than expected, which was great. She came personally with her team to install them and they too were very nice and professional. They look beautiful and we highly recommend Lisa and Something Sew Unique for all your window treatment needs. Her quality of work is impeccable!
The comforter that Lisa made for me was just fabulous. I was searching for a comforter with a nautical sailboat theme but could no longer find one. I asked Lisa if she could make a comforter with a sailboat and I showed her some pictures. She made the comforter with the sailboat that is shown on her website. I love it and of course my baby does too. It is hard to find such quality work nowadays. Thanks to Lisa.
We were told about Lisa and Something Sew Unique on our neighborhood blog. Several people recommended her. We made an appointment with her to come do measurements in three rooms. She made sure that we were fully aware of what our odd sized windows would look like with coverings and the different options and worked within our budget. She came to install them several weeks later. We are so happy with them. They are exactly what we asked for. Great person/company to work with. We definitely recommend her and will use her again.
Some time ago, on behalf of my mother, I contacted Lisa for seven replacement pillow shams of various sizes. Her response was fast and courteous. Lisa’s estimate was professional, detailed and reasonably priced. We asked her to do the job and, well within her estimated time of completion, we received seven impeccably tailored pillow shams that fit like gloves on their respective pillow forms.
The key to why this job of seven simple pillow shams is so outstanding is that Lisa completed this job from almost 200 miles away, with nothing to go by but my amateur drawings and measurements accompanied by emails. The fabrics we had chosen are not easy ones to work with, nor are they forgiving, but Lisa’s seams, linings and hidden zippers were flawless. Over a year later, the shams are holding up beautifully.
If a cut above is what you’re looking for, this is your girl. THANK YOU, LISA!
Lisa LaChance was absolutely fabulous! She is wonderful person and does exceptional work. Lisa is very prompt and helpful when needing advice or assisting in decision making. My need was, taking existing curtains from another home and making them work where I currently live, which involved quite a lot and she did it with ease. I would recommend her highly for any of your sewing needs.
The cushion looks amazing! It is perfectly matched. I got a lot of compliments on it!!! Thanks so much for another outstanding job!
